Minnesota
Swimming, Inc. (MSI) is an LSC (Local Swim Committee)
of USA-Swimming. MSI is a non-profit organization whose focus is competitive
swimming and the benefits that youth get from being involved in a competitive
activity.
MSI
has over 7,000 registered athletes (boys and girls) participating
on more than 70 clubs across Minnesota and 3 counties in adjacent
Wisconsin. Competition is available for all ability levels from
novice to National Championship.
Minnesota
Swimming boasts an Olympic Gold Medalist - Tom Malchow -
who won gold in 2000 after winning silver in 1996. For a
number of years, Tom was a world record holder in the 200
meter Butterfly. He swam for STAR and St.
Thomas Academy .
If
your kid(s) swim, there is also a place for volunteers
as officials, club representatives, etc.. Become
involved to make the sport and Minnesota Swimming
better.
