Safe Sport Courses for Athletes |
USA Swimming offers two Safe Sport courses for Athletes: Safe Sport for Minor Athletes Online Course This course is designed for athletes 12-17 years old and will cover the basics of Safe Sport, understanding the three types of boundaries, and what to do if you or someone you know is being harmed. Parents and coaches can use the facilitation guide in the course to open up a conversation about Safe Sport and healthy boundaries. Registration Instructions for Minor Athlete Safe Sport Training on LEARN The U.S. Center for SafeSport is providing the APT education on LEARN. Adult Athletes (aged 18+) are now required to complete the APT course, per the MAAPP policy. You must take the course(s) within the "Athlete Protection Training" Certification. Once you have completed these courses, your membership record will update with a new APT expiration date within 24 hours. Your APT will expire 12 months from the date you completed the certificate. |
